Korean Hunan Petrochemical PP plant will be put into operation in the first half of next year.
Korean Hunan petrochemical company has removed the 120000 ton/year new suitable resolution that was put into operation in 1979. It will be beneficial to measure the resolution of environmental friendly plastic bags. The PP package that is automatically dissolved in warm water is very safe, and it has decided to build a 200000 ton/year PP plant in Lichuan. The new unit will be put into operation in the first half of 2002, and 70% of the polypropylene produced is planned to be exported to China
it is reported that in order to ensure the reliable supply of propylene, Hunan Petrochemical Company will debottleneck and expand the capacity of ethylene cracking unit, so that the company's propylene production capacity will increase from the current 236000 tons/year to 380000 tons/year, and the ethylene capacity will increase from the current 460000 tons/year to 690000 tons/year. The new ethylene capacity will replace the previous annual purchase of 160000 tons of ethylene. Hunan Yuejian company plans to start the debottleneck construction of ethylene cracking unit this month, and is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in the first half of 2002
